1975 Norman White Mk11a Commando Interstate 850cc (www.normanwhite.co.uk)

Norman White is a world reknowned Development Engineer and 'Works' Racer for Norton during the hey day period of the Commando; visit his website, research him on the web and then give him a call about this bike. He's developed a series of Commando modifications and enhancements - most of which are fitted to this bike. And then some.

This bike was built to ride and is probably the best handling Commando you are ever likely to ride. Apart the from the 18” wheels and double disk brakes it looks very standard (I have most of the original gear to go with it too), extremely reliable - no engine oil leaks - and a joy to ride. It will cruise indefinitely at a smooth 80mph plus and has enough torque to pull your arms off!

ENGINE

NW Rebuilt engine less than 5000 miles ago. Engine built to ‘standard’ spec apart from reliability modifications and lead free valve seats.

NW dry clutch and belt drive.

Mikuni single carburettor.

Boyer Bransden Electronic Ignition.

NW ‘tucked’ in exhaust headers

CHASSIS

Rebuilt chassis with Isolastics set to ‘tight’ end of tolerances for best handling.

Cotter pin conversion to swing arm.

NW Head steady; stronger, light, better than Norvil.

Koni Shocks adjusted for best road performance.

Maxton rebuilt forks

NW 18” Wheel conversion with flanged alloy rims to allow modern tyre choice.

Bridgestone BT45 tyres.

NW Double disk brakes with Brembo master cylinder, four piston callipers and stainless hydraulic lines.

MISCELLANEOUS

Japanese switch gear.

H4 Halogen headlight.

Cut down saddle.

Baglux tank cover for tank bag.

Alloy bobbins for paddock stand.

Touring rearset footrests.

Rebuilt speedo

CONDITION

The bike is in excellent but not concours condition - it is ridden! In an ideal world I would repaint the swing arm as it has some surface corrosion, as does the lower front chassis cross piece which gets road dirt kicked up from the front tyre.

SERVICE

Norman White serviced the bike less than thirty miles (two years ago), it has been off the road since (young kids). It has just had a new MOT in the last couple of months.
